The Baltimore Sun canvassed readers, sources and leaders to determine the area’s most intriguing movers and shakers of 2014 from this list Sheri was selected.
Sheri Booker, author of award-winning memoir NINE YEARS UNDER, has been named one of Sun Magazine’s 50 Women to Watch. The honor, now in its second year, is bestowed by the entertainment magazine upon the most accomplished, ambitious, powerful, memorable and intriguing women in Baltimore.
Overjoyed upon learning of this distinction, Booker said: “Baltimore is a very unique town full of uniquely talented people, and especially women. It’s a place where I found great female mentors.”
I am humbled to be recognized in this this way, and I am proud to called by the same title as so many women who have made history in Baltimore and beyond.
The Sun has selected 50 women to highlight. Last year’s list included such intriguing figures as Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, comedian Amy Schumer and Boston bombing survivor Ericka Brannock.
The 50 Women to Watch will be featured in the October 19th print edition of Sun Magazine, however an online version of the Magazine will be available on October 13.
